The purpose of the Happy Hearts Club is to give caregivers in the community a much needed break.  Caregivers can spend the day focusing on their needs while leaving their loved ones with a staff of caring, trained volunteers.

The Happy Hearts Club at Peachtree Corners Baptist Church

Founder, Dianne McGarey was led to organize the Happy Hearts Club (HHC) at Peachtree Corners Baptist Church after losing her husband of 26 years to Alzheimer's.

Dianne had "been there" and she, armed with a troop of friendly volunteers, started the HHC in October, 2008.  HHC is dedicated to the encouragement of those who are selflessly caring for loved ones at home.

Currently, HHC is Directed by Angi Lewallen and continues to serve our caregivers and community.

Director Angi Lewallen, RN, who works at a local hospital, started with Happy Hearts in October, 2008.  She was a caregiver to her mother and father both whom had cancer, and her grandmother who had Alzheimer's.
"No one knows how lonely and exhausting it is to be a caregiver unless they have been there."
